Final Nationwide bonus payments should enter bank accounts over the coming days. Most customers eligible for the April £50 payments should have seen their cash arrive by now. ‌ The payments should show on bank statements as 'Nationwide Big Thank You'. That is the final day any money is expected to land in bank accounts. The majority of Nationwide members - over 12 million - are eligible for the boost. ‌ The bonus payments were announced last month following Nationwide's takeover of Virgin Money. Bosses said they wanted to "thank" customers for choosing the building society. Those who have been receiving money include people with current or savings accounts, or mortgages. Article continues below This is as long as they used their accounts in the 12 months to September, have at least £100 in one of them or on a mortgage and are still a Nationwide customer now. Some customers may get further £100 bonus payments this summer as part of the building society's Fairer Share scheme. CEO Debbie Crosbie said: "It’s another of the very real benefits of being a member of Nationwide and our modern mutual model.”
