Llandudno offers visitors a traditional beach day experience, with donkey rides along the sand, deck chairs for hire, Punch and Judy shows that have been a firm family favourite for over 160 years, funfair rides and ice creams on the Victorian pier and some of the best fish and chip shops in the UK. The seaside resort in the borough of Conwy has stayed true to its Victorian and Edwardian history, while the town centre has a mix of modern shops, charming independents, restaurants and cafes within easy reach of the shoreline. Visitors won't be short of choices for places to grab a bite, though Llandudno is famous for its fish and chips, with several local restaurants named in this year's National Fish Friers' Awards and the last Welsh Chippy Awards. One recent visitor to Llandudno's North Shore Beach said in a Google review: "Lovely beach. Very nice walk. Some areas are very rocky. Dogs love it.
