A public Celebration of Life will be held on June 7 to honor the memory and legacy of local icon Bob Wood. “The recent passing of Bob Wood has left a hole in the hearts of, not only his family and friends, but our entire community." That's the message from his widow Carol, in announcing plans for a celebration of life for the popular broadcaster and politician. "The outpouring of love and support we have received warms our hearts immensely," she says. "The many tributes from our local media, social media posts, calls, and text messages remind us of the love and respect Bob garnered. He truly was this larger-than-life figure, but at the same time, he was the most loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, brother-in-law and friend. He led by example with his kindness, generosity, and zest for life." Bob died at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice on Saturday, April 12 at the age of 85.
