The show is hosted by BAFTA and Emmy award-winning actor David Tennant and aims to bring together some of the UK’s sharpest minds. Among them will be Dr Kishan Bodalia, who grew up in Coventry and was a student at Warwick School. He then went on to study medicine at the University of Birmingham. It was while he was at university he discovered another talent- as a DJ. He won a global DJ competition to perform at world-renowned festival Tomorrowland and signed a record deal with Sony Music. Known for his uplifting 'NHSessions' DJ sets wearing his scrubs on Instagram, he fast became a huge hit. Since then, he has gone on to perform with the likes of Fatboy Slim as a 'special guest' on his UK arena tour as well as supporting chart-toppers such as Rudimental and Example, and opening the Camp Bestival main stage for Becky Hill. He even performed to over 500,000 spectators at London’s iconic New Year’s Day Parade. However, Bodalia continues to champion young people’s health as the face of NHS campaigns tackling youth vaping and mental health awareness. Now he is set to take on the new game show, which is a high-stakes contest of wit, social strategy, and psychological gameplay - and it is something he is relishing. "As someone who’s always been fascinated by people, psychology, and a bit of healthy competition, Genius Game felt like the perfect challenge," he said. "It’s a wild mix of brains, bluffing, and building alliances — and being part of the first-ever UK series is an honour." Genius Game will premier on ITV1 and ITVX on Wednesday, April 30 at 9pm
