More info Rosenborg sporting director Micke Dorsin has reiterated that his club will be well remunerated this summer should they part with talented midfielder Sverre Nypan, amid interest from Aston Villa who had him watched this week. Teenager Nypan, likened to compatriot Martin Odegaard, is already a fixture in the Rosenborg starting XI despite only being 18 years old, but it remains to be seen how much longer he'll spend in his native Norway, with sizeable clubs from around Europe keeping tabs on him. Villa, it would appear, front the queue. President of football operations Monchi went out to Oslo this past Easter Monday to watch Nypan in league action and it's been reported that he met with Nypan's father Arne, who has previously spoken publicly of how he expects his son to make a move later this year. Dorsin was aware that Monchi was in attendance but insisted that Rosenborg will stand their ground and earn what they consider to be an appropriate transfer fee. He told TV2 via Sport Witness : “Yes, I know who he [Monchi] is. "I think there are many clubs in place today that are looking at many players, among others Sverre. It’s good for everyone and for Norwegian football. Yes, it should be. He [Nypan] has been good for many years and looks so young. We will be paid well, and I think everyone knows that.” Nypan played over 70 minutes of Rosenborg's comfortable 2-0 win over opponents Valerenga, who are based in the Norwegian capital. After the game he was asked of the presence of Monchi and Villa scout Alberto Benito: “No, I didn’t know they were coming. There are agents and scouts all the time. That’s the case for every game. I focus on what I do on the pitch.” Rosenborg manager Alfred Johansson added simply of Villa being represented at the game in order to keep a closer eye on Nypan: “It’s a good team, so I understand they want to come and see.” What is Villa's priority in the summer window?
