American billionaire raises Fortescue lawsuit stakes to $300m
The American billionaire pursuing Fortescue over the failure of a joint venture to redevelop coal and gas power stations in the United States will argue he missed out on $300 million in profit when the project fell apart. Paul Tudor Jones’ Kid Shelleen is suing Fortescue, and in 2023 sought the reimbursement of about $US6.25 million associated with the bid, a trivial amount in the context of the personal fortunes of both Jones and Fortescue chairman Andrew Forrest.
