The 53-year-old found fame on the Australian version of the matchmaking show that sees two strangers exchanges vows after meeting at the altar. ‌ He was admitted to Wollongong Hospital in New South Wales on Thursday (24th April) morning after he suffered a heart attack. ‌ Before ending up in hospital, Tony revealed that was complaining of chest pains before undergoing surgery and shared that his "love of partying and cigarettes" had played its part in his health condition. He then confessed that he hadn't "felt well for a while", but Tony is now recovering and he spoke about his ordeal which he admitted was "pretty scary". (Image: mafs/Instagram ) Article continues below Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Tony revealed that his chest "hadn't felt right for a long time", as he added: "Luckily I went straight to the doctors. During the week I wasn't feeling well. It has been happening for a long time. "I was just feeling not right, like something was on my chest every now and then, giving me heartburn and stuff like that." The star admitted that he originally though his health scare was caused by genetic heart problems as he added that his mum had died from an aneurysm. ‌ He also recalled that his partying lifestyle may have played a part in recent events, as he revealed that he smoked cigarettes and indulged in too much partying, as he said: "I was smoking, the cigarettes, the stress, being on the boat, partying - just too many things. It caught up with me, mate. I just need some time without the partying." Co-star Ryan paid Tony a visit in the hospital (Image: ryp_society on Instagram ) MAFS co-star, Ryan Donnelly, paid a visit to Tony while he was in hospital. He shared a video of them hugging during the visit on his social media. He wrote: "Tony Time had a brief intermission dropped by to see my best mate and he was literally on the phone with Adrian. Can't keep a good Macedonian man down, he'll be back to his best in no time!" ‌ While on the show, Tony married Morena Farina, but their relationship was less than amicable even after what seemed to be a spark at the beginning. After only two weeks, Tony shocked his bride when he revealed he wanted a younger partner because he wanted to have children. Morena chose to not stick around, as when she left the show she wrote "good riddance" to Tony on her exit card. Article continues below Speaking after their split, Tony told 9Entertainment: "I wanted to at least feel the experience, to learn off her , learn from the experts, get some information about where we're going wrong in life. "But it got to a stage where I just couldn't be around her and I was ducking and weaving and I was going to see my dog."
