Baguley, of Brookhead Drive, Cheadle, had already admitted perverting the course of justice. Judge Joanne Woodward told him a custodial sentence was 'inevitable.' ‌ Michael Goldwater, defending, said: "He realises that a significant custodial sentence is the only possible outcome. "He's married, he has a child, he has a grandchild, he's in employment and the court would benefit from a more detailed knowledge of his background and circumstances before determining the appropriate sentence." Mr Morris was taken to hospital but died of his injuries almost a month later (Image: MEN ) ‌ Judge Woodward ordered a pre-sentence report and remanded him into custody ahead of his sentencing until July 10. She said he was a man of 'previous good character' that there was 'much to be said by the way of personal mitigation.' "This is an extremely serious offence" she said. "Not only by the standard of your driving, but the consequence of the standard of your driving. A custodial sentence is inevitable." Andy was a loving father, son, brother and friend. "Our hearts will be forever broken not having you in our lives. Your infectious laugh, joke telling, singing (well, debatable singing that is!) and magic tricks will forever be with us all. "You will be sadly missed by everyone. Your kind and caring nature will be forever imprinted in those you came into contact with. All our love forever. God bless x."
