Passengers are facing major disruption to tram services across Greater Manchester amid a power issue. All trams have been stopped on the Ashton line, with Metrolink tickets being accepted on local Bee Network buses. All other Metrolink lines running through the city centre are also affected in some way. A Transport for Greater Manchester spokesperson said: "Due to loss of overhead line power in the city centre, service changes are in place across the network. "Ticket and passes are being accepted on all local Bee Network bus services." The spokesperson added: "Due to loss of overhead line power in the city centre, the Ashton-under-Lyne line is currently suspended. "Tickets and passes will be accepted on all local Bee Network bus services including the 7, 53, 76, 171, 172, 216, 219, 230 and 231." Further details about the incident are yet to be confirmed.
