Coombe Abbey issues egg hunt warning that take you to 'gambling website' with code

Visitors to Coombe Abbey have been warned to ignore plastic Easter eggs left around the park. The attraction posted on its Facebook site that the eggs contain a QR code that 'leads you to a gambling website'. The park is home to 500 acres of gardens, woodlands, and lakeside walks. Adventure site Go Ape is within the woodlands, where people of all ages can take on challenges with its adventure courses. The Facebook post by Coombe Abbey called on the website's owners to stop and, if these eggs are found, to 'put them in the bin'. If you find the egg and open it, you will see £1.00 credit with an invite to scan a code "to be in with a chance of winning £300.00". If you scan the code, it takes you to a gambling website. This has nothing to do with Coombe Abbey or the Hotel. Please ignore the eggs; if you can, just drop them off in a bin."
