Notts Pride will return to the city on Saturday, July 26, and it will be based at Sneinton Market for a second year. More than 10,000 people attended the event last year, which was the first time its main stage was stationed at the Sneinton venue. Pride revellers have been told this year's event will feature a "jam-packed" lineup of entertainment, including performances, live music, and activities for all ages. The parade will once again wind its way through the streets of Nottingham, ending in Sneinton Market, where the festivities will continue throughout the day. Leigh Ellis, chair of Notts Pride, said: “After such a successful move to Sneinton Market last year, we’re excited to confirm the event will return to this fantastic location. "We can’t wait to celebrate with our community and allies during what is shaping up to be another brilliant event. The energy throughout last year’s festivities was incredible, and we’re looking forward to making 2025 even bigger and better.” As well as the celebrations in Sneinton, Hockley will once again host a range of events across bars and venues in the area, offering lots of options for how attendees can join in the festivities at the original home of Notts Pride. Craig Martin, vice chair of Notts Pride, added: “Each year, Notts Pride continues to grow and bring people together, creating a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community to celebrate in style. "Last year’s event was a truly special day, and we’re really looking forward to building on that. We’ve got some amazing things planned, and we’re eager to share more details over the coming weeks.” Notts Pride, which has been in Nottingham since 1997, is currently seeking new sponsors for this year’s event. Businesses interested in becoming official sponsors have been encouraged to get in touch and help support the important celebration of diversity and inclusivity.
