More info One lucky EuroMillions player in Donegal is waking up €500,000 richer on Saturday morning after claiming the top prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw on Friday night. The National Lottery revealed on Saturday that the winning ticket was purchased in Letterkenny, marking the second big win for the town this year. The lucky ticket, a Quick Pick, was purchased in Callaghan’s XL, Main Street, Letterkenny on Friday, the day of the draw, a purchase the lucky punter will no doubt remember for the rest of their lives. The winning numbers in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were: 5, 16, 21, 36 and 46. This winner was among over 49,000 players in Ireland who won prizes in Friday night's EuroMillions games. Also, in the EuroMillions Plus draw, some 62 players matched four of the five winning numbers and will take home €2,000 each. Meanwhile, there were 10 winners in the Ireland-Only raffle, who will each take home a prize of €5,000. There wasn’t much luck in the main draw, however, with the most any player won being just €143, scooped by 15 players who matched four numbers plus one lucky star. The €500,000 EuroMillions top prize is Letterkenny’s second major win this year, following the top prize of €1 million in the Daily Million draw on March 10 that was also won in the town. That winning ticket was sold at Kernan’s Service Station, Tullygay, Letterkenny. Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson, said: “What a night for Letterkenny as a player in the town has claimed a life-changing amount of money, winning the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000! This is the 13th EuroMillions Plus win so far in 2025. In total over 49,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws.” The National Lottery is urging all players in the Donegal area to check their tickets carefully and if you’re holding the winning ticket, be sure to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize.
