Police issue special Section 35 order in Sedgley after mounting concerns about crime The Section 35 order has been issued just days after a West Midlands Police officer was injured followed an incident in the Black Country town Bullring in Sedgley (Image: Google ) A special dispersal order has been issued in a West Midlands town following a rise in anti-social-behaviour (ASB). West Midlands Police has issued the Section 35 dispersal order in Sedgley which will run until 5pm tomorrow on Sunday (April 27). It comes just days after a police officer was injured while on duty in Bull Ring, Sedgley. The order follows a rise in ASB in and around Sedgley town centre, West Midlands Police say. The Section 35 dispersal order zone in Sedgley (Image: WMP ) The dispersal order zone covers a square-like area around the town, extending from Ladies Walk in the south up to Bilston Street in the north. Sergeant David Hemsley from Dudley Police said: "We do not tolerate any kind of anti-social behaviour, and we have put the Section 35 dispersal in place to move anyone on who we believe may be causing problems. "We will have extra officers over the weekend to offer reassurance to the community." A WMP spokesperson added: "If you witness any antisocial behaviour please contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101. Always call 999 in an emergency." It comes after a police officer was injured on Wednesday evening after police responded to an incident involving a group of people outside a pub. The officer has been discharged from hospital. Meanwhile, a woman appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm. Samantha Dalton appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Friday (April 25) charged with causing grievous bodily harm against an officer. The 37-year-old from Wolverhampton has also been charged with assault by beating three other officers, a racially aggravated public order offence and a further public order offence. Ashley Johnson has also been charged with obstructing an officer and criminal damage. Article continues below The 34-year-old will appear at Dudley Magistrates' Court on May 8.
