Empty Plymouth shop could become restaurant and takeaway

More info Permission is currently being sought to change an empty shop in the Mutley Plain Local Centre in Plymouth into a restaurant and takeaway. Plans include installing an extraction flue to the building at 34 Mutley Plain - between Dominos and GoodFellas - which is set over two levels (ground and lower ground floors) in what is a predominately residential area. Planning agents Delta Tech Ltd say the flue can be easily camouflaged to blend in and have systems to prevent noise disturbance. The location has parking at the rear in nearby Napier Terrace Car Park. Highways officers say that should prevent short-term on-street parking taking place along the front of the premises. The site will use an existing rear yard for delivery riders and staff parking. Plymouth City Council will decide on the application at a later date.
