Ant and Dec had introduced the second act of the night, Teddy Magic, as fans awaited his performance. But the hosts then interrupted the show with an announcement that Teddy, 8, wasn't quite ready to perform. ‌ Ant announced: "Now, Teddy isn't quite ready backstage," before Dec explained: "We're going to have a little change of plan." Article continues below In a desperate bid to fill time, the hosts then turned to the judges to speak about the previous act Heavysaurus, which Simon had buzzed during their performance. But after asking Simon what he thought of the first act, he ignored the question and asked: "Wait, so the act's not ready?." Dec then explained that Teddy needed more time, with Simon responding: "Well that's okay, it's live." ‌ Ant then interrupted and said: "He's only eight years old, so back off!". Simon responded: "It's fine, it's fine. If he's not ready, he's not ready." He then added: "You've got to be ready. We're fine," as Ant said: "He's got to get ready." Later in the show, Ant and Dec were forced to halt the sequence once again as it was then revealed that The Blackouts also weren't ready to perform. The hosts then went to speak to Amanda, asking her how she felt about having the first golden buzzer of the live semi-finals. ‌ Despite The Blackouts eventually performing minutes later - and receiving Amanda's golden buzzer - Ant and Dec revealed at the end of the show that Teddy Magic wouldn't be performing and would return to perform again another week. The hosts joked to Simon: "It's certainly live isn't it Simon."
