One customer identified as Mikolaj said: "Beautiful venue, extremely friendly and helpful staff and on top of that amazing food. ‌ "One of my favourite places from now on." A different customer named Andy added: "A very enjoyable meal with wonderful atmosphere and staff. "My wife had the mushrooms which were delicious and I went for the Yorkshire wrap which didn't disappoint, we would recommend." ‌ And Claire posted: "The food was delicious and the ambience was calm and welcoming." One customer did not agree with the majority of reviews and labelled the Mailbox restaurant 'overpriced' and criticised wait time and service. The customer said: "For the price they have, service needs to improve. ‌ "Three tables with us included, place had a funny smell, don’t know how to describe it, maybe the space needs ventilation. "We ordered chips, burger and chicken, took 40 minutes to come (no one told us it would take that long). "They have a pretty small selection of desserts, but the one I wanted, they didn’t have it. ‌ "The plate of chips we ordered was so small, let alone we paid £10 they gave us a handful of chips. "Overall, the food tastes good but is overpriced, understandable that it is in the Mailbox. "However, if the service were quicker, it would be at least measurable for the money you pay. ‌ "I will not go back, the service, even with three tables, was pretty slow." Management responded to the review, corrected claims made over wait time and replied back 'we're not a fast food restaurant'. Restaurant at The Woods said: "Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and sorry that we did not meet your expectations on service. ‌ "Our average wait time for food on busier times, is 30-40 minutes as we are not a fast food restaurant. "I remember you stating it had been 40 minutes and asked us to check how long food would be, a member of our team found out and from the receipt time and showed you that it had been 31 minutes and food was being plated now and brought out. "We will use the feedback to ensure service does not exceed our average wait times. "One of those tables was a table of six, who had ordered just before your table, which probably slowed your table down a little. "Hopefully we can change your mind in the future."
