In an enthralling encounter, which lived up to the legacy of their fathers, the two warriors clashed in front of a massive crowd of 67,000 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Eubank Jr emerging victorious as all three judges scored in his favour. Following the intense bout, Eubank Jr needed immediate medical care. ‌ BOXXER - the 35-year-old's promoter - confirmed via an official tweet: "On recommendation of the onsite doctor, Chris Eubank Jr has been taken to hospital by ambulance for precautionary checks." During the fight, Eubank Jr sported a significant cut above his right eye and appeared battered, prompting Benn to speculate his opponent might have sustained a broken jaw. Eubank tipped the scales at 160.2lb before registering 160.05lb on his second attempt, while Benn weighed in comfortably under the 160lb middleweight mark at 156.4lb. Article continues below Yet, on Saturday morning, 'Next Gen' weighed in at 169.4lbs, sidestepping an additional penalty, whereas Benn also kept within limits at 165lb. The pair adhered to a rehydration clause implemented before the fight, which prohibited their weights from exceeding 170lbs on fight day morning. Despite pre-fight antics, there was no drama when it came to the weigh-in that Saturday morning, as both fighters made the cut to square off in the ring.
