GARDAI have renewed their appeal for the public's help in a bid to find a missing Louth teen who hasn't been seen over two weeks ago. Nawal Nor, 17, was reported missing from Dundalk, Co Louth, since Monday, April 14. However, she is believed to have travelled to Dublin city on Monday afternoon, April 14. Nawal is described as being approximately 5 feet 9 inches in height with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes. The 17-year-old typically wears a nose ring. When last seen Nawal was wearing a black hijab, long black leather jacket, black trousers and white runners. Gardai are concerned for her "welfare". In a statement, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardai at Dundalk are renewing their appeal to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 17-year-old Nawal Nor, who is reported missing from Dundalk, Co. Louth, since Monday 14th April 2025. "Anyone with any information on Nawal’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station on 042 9388 400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station." SAD FIND Separately, the search for a missing mum has been called off. The search for Dublin mum Siobhan Hegarty was called off by gardai following a body find on Easter Monday. And a targeted search of Limerick city wetlands in hopes of finding missing Luke Price was stood down on Friday - but the larger search for the Offaly man is continuing. Hegarty, 46, was reported missing on Thursday, April 17, from the Swords area of Dublin. Gardai had appealed to the public for their help in locating the missing mum but have since confirmed the search was called off following the discovery of a body. In a statement, a spokesperson said: "Following the discovery of a woman’s body earlier today (Monday) in north county Dublin, the missing person appeal in respect of 46-year-old Siobhan Hegarty, reported missing from Swords, County Dublin, since Thursday, April 17, 2025 has been stood down." And Hegarty's heartbroken daughter took to social media to thank all those who helped in the search for her "beautiful mam". She said: "I just want to thank everyone who came and helped find my beautiful mam. "Unfortunately it wasn’t the outcome we were hoping for, my beautiful mam was found earlier today thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart. "My beautiful mam I’m lost I don’t know how I’ll do this without you. "You couldn’t wait to be a nana so excited for your grandchild to be here. "My hearts in a million pieces but I promise I will always look after Ryan always mam I love you forever and always." Devastated mourners have expressed their condolences following the sad news, with many telling how they are so sorry for the family's loss. One person said: "Lauren my heart is broke for you can't believe it she was the best in the world." Another wrote: "Thinking of yous all."
