On opening day Friday, the parking lot quickly filled up, a clear sign of the community’s excitement and the diverse offerings from local businesses. This year’s event featured a wide range of exhibitors, inside and outside of the club. Each showcasing the best that Elliot Lake and its neighbouring towns, including Blind River and Thessalon, have to offer. Each city highlighted its unique attractions and amenities, promoting local tourism and encouraging residents to explore the surrounding areas. The show provided a vibrant platform for small businesses to connect with potential customers, fostering a sense of community and support among local entrepreneurs. Among the notable exhibitors were home improvement companies like Aspen Roofing and Sonnenburg Spray Foam and Coatings. These businesses offered valuable insights into their services, catering to homeowners eager to enhance their properties. Representatives were on hand to answer questions, provide advice, and discuss the latest trends in home renovation. Good Samaritan Services made a significant impression with their recent expansion into Blind River and Espanola, just over a year after establishing themselves in Elliot Lake. Their booth attracted considerable attention as they showcased their commitment to community service and the positive impact of their organization. Local favourite, Little Britches Consignment, also made a memorable appearance at the show. After a brief hiatus, they are set to reopen at Granite Mall in May, offering a wide selection of consignment items for shoppers. Their presence was warmly welcomed, with many attendees eager to learn about their reopening and browse their unique offerings. Additionally, The Trifecta Experience Inc., a nonprofit organization presented a delightful selection of homemade jams, Mennonite honey, and locally grown produce, giving visitors a taste of the farm-to-table experience. "Harvest Kitchen, is a program under the umbrella of the nonprofit, which supports local farmers," explained Jennifer Rheaume, Secretary Treasurer of the organization. Their bountiful booth was a hit among attendees looking to support local agriculture and indulge in artisanal products. With the show still open on Sunday until 2 p.m., there’s plenty of opportunity for residents to visit and explore the variety of local businesses and services available.
